The client required a boundary wall to replace the shrubbery and old block wall that spanned the length of the garden. The neighbouring properties including the clients dwelling are constructed out of natural stone to keep the walling sympathetic to its historic surroundings.

A heritage flemish variation brick bond called Monk bond, and hand made bricks from a local brickmaker called Nortcot were used in the construction. The piers are built in Flemish bond with further detailing by the introduction of a dentil header course, over sailing course and a brick on edge coping.
